Under the Pale Moonlight with Dead Living

In 2015 a band was born from the ashes of many before it. This band rose from the dead and became living. They forged a path to rule the garage punk landscape with the might of a metal band and the savvy of the 90s era of underground music. Like many bands prior, they encountered the gruesome force of going through a plethora of different name changes before settling on calling themselves Dead Living.

In the years since forming, Ramon (guitar/vocals, E.T. (Bass), and Michael (drums) have recorded an EP called Pale Moonlight (one of their original band names) and a full-length called Rotary. Each release has its roots in the Chicago punk rock sound, yet you can find notes of post-hardcore, metal, and even some subtle nods to 90s and 80s alternative (the beginning of their song Stay Away could be the intro to a Disintegration era The Cure song). The vocals on each song are reminiscent of Walter Schreifels of Rival Schools mixed with a little bit of Lemmy Kilmister. Combining all this and much more, Dead Living has put its name into the punk rock landscape with a sound that is all their own..
